COMTO Week Spotlight: Raquel Olivier—Leading with Purpose, Investing in the Future

During COMTO Week, COMTO North Texas proudly celebrates Raquel Olivier, CPA, MBA, Founder and President/CEO of Olivier, Inc., for her continued leadership in public transportation and commitment to creating opportunities for the next generation.

Advancing Transportation Through National Leadership

Olivier was recently named to the Executive Committee of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and selected to serve as Chair of its Business Members Board of Governors (BMBG). The announcement took place during the committee’s October 4 meeting at APTA TRANSform & EXPO 2026 in Chicago.

These roles reflect her commitment to advancing the industry, advocating for business members, and strengthening collaboration and workforce development. Her leadership brings a focus on expanding opportunities for the businesses and people who help public transportation thrive.

Investing in Tomorrow’s Leaders

At the 2026 Latinos In Transit (LIT) Leadership Summit, Olivier announced a $10,000 contribution to launch the Nuria I. Fernandez Scholarship Fund. The scholarship honors the former Federal Transit Administration Administrator and APTA Hall of Fame Class of 2026 inductee, recognizing her legacy of leadership, mentorship, and service.

According to LIT, Olivier’s initial gift inspired additional support, bringing the total commitment to $20,000. The fund will help create educational opportunities for students pursuing pathways into public transportation.

Celebrating Leadership That Creates Opportunity

A 2023 COMTO Women Who Move the Nation honoree, Olivier continues to demonstrate how leadership and service can expand access and inspire others to invest in the industry’s future.

As we celebrate COMTO Week, her accomplishments reflect the values at the heart of our community: representation, professional growth, and opportunity.

COMTO North Texas congratulates Raquel Olivier on these achievements and celebrates her dedication to moving transportation—and its future leaders—forward.
